Welcome to KB Image Compressor at kbimagecompressor.com ("the Site", "we", "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. The service

KB Image Compressor is a free, browser-based utility that compresses, resizes, crops, and converts image files (JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, SVG) entirely on your device. No account, sign-up, or payment is required, and there are no limits on the number of files you may process.

2. How the tool works

• All processing runs locally in your browser; files are never uploaded to our servers.
• Compressed outputs are newly generated files — your original files are never modified.
• Animated GIFs and SVG vectors pass through untouched unless you explicitly convert formats (converting a GIF keeps only its first frame).
• Target-size results are best-effort: the engine finds the highest quality that fits your KB target, reducing dimensions only when quality alone cannot reach it.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Process images you do not own or do not have the right to modify.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the security of the Site.
• Use the Site to create misleading, infringing, or unlawful content (for example, forged documents or ID photos).
• Misrepresent the Site as your own product or resell access to it.

4. Intellectual property

The Site's design, text, graphics, and code are owned by KB Image Compressor and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain full ownership of the images you process — we claim no rights over them, and since processing is local, we never even receive them. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Site for personal and commercial image compression.

5. Output quality and fitness

Compression is inherently lossy: reducing file size discards some image data. While the Site targets visually lossless results and provides a before/after comparison slider for verification, we cannot guarantee that every output will meet a third party's exact requirements (such as a portal demanding precisely "under 50KB" or a specific DPI). Always verify outputs before submitting them to official applications, and keep an archival copy of important originals.

6. No warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every browser or device.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KB Image Compressor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, rejected applications, or missed deadlines — arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Your sole remedy is to stop using the Site.

8. Third-party content and links

The Site may reference third-party resources (such as Google Fonts). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains that all image processing happens on your device and no image content is collected.

10. Changes to the service and terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site, and may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest revision, and continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which the Site operator is established, without regard to conflict of law principles.
